Event Description

The hackathon will run for a week to give teams time to plan, design, test, and present their Alma cloud app while working remotely. Often hackathons will just run over 2 days, but with the pandemic and the challenges of collaboration via online meetings we will have a whole week.

The organisers will review submitted ideas for feasibility and allocate team membership to make sure we get a good mix of skills across the teams.

Online drop in sessions will be scheduled during the week for participants to talk through problems together, get a sounding board and ask questions.

In the closing webinar of the event, teams will present their shiny new app.

What you need to do now?

  1. Seek institutional support to participate and allocate time
  2. Save the dates in your calendar
  3. Learn what a cloud app is (watch the video below), and look at some existing apps for inspiration
  4. Review your ‘pending work plan’ Alma cases, peruse the ideas exchange, or do some blue sky thinking for original ideas

Training and documentation will be shared in advance of the event.

We hope you can join us and enjoy this creative event.

Launch Webinar: Mar 17, 2021 14:00 (AEST)

Registration is open to ANZREG members, and participating Ex Libris staff.
