ANZREG 2019 Conference – Lots of conference updates!

October 16, 2019

Not many sleeps to go now until we see you all next week, from Oct 23-25.

Program updates

A couple of important updates about the program. For logistics reasons we have had to make a change to the conference program which affects three presentations. Please review the latest version or check in the conference app to see new times for presentations by Linda Sheedy, Jessie Donaghey and Kirstie Nicholson. We apologise for the late change, but it will help things run more smoothly where we have remote presentations.
The second thing to notice is that there are room changes for the Best Practice and Developers Day sessions, which will now be in the same building, on the same floor, and catering will be combined. No chance of getting lost looking for the catering 😉

Finding the venue

Speaking of being lost! Our uber awesome Conference Organiser Peta Hopkins has created a short video to help you get oriented when you arrive at Bond University, and extras such as pointing out the building where Ex Libris meetings are being held.

Check it out on our Channel — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QREQKuXQYuo&t=30s, or in the conference app under Venue.

Conference App

Haven’t downloaded it yet?

Once you have opened it on your device, choose the “ANZREG 2019” profile.  Tip: Connect to wifi for automatic content updates.

Social Media

When sharing on social media, please use #anzreg. Instagram and Twitter posts with this hashtag will be visible in the app on the social wall. Follow @anzreg2019 for official conference tweets.

Livestream

Most of the sessions will be livestreamed in our Youtube Channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdyArH1UX3Sl5aeCyCVczxw.
The recordings will be available from the same location after the event.
Priority for questions to speakers will be from within the venue, but time permitting we will do our best to incorporate questions submitted via the livestream chat.

Sustainability Goals

  • Water – If you wish to bring along your own water bottle (or reuse one provided), there is a refilling station at the entrance to the University Centre building.
  • Coffee – Cafes at Bond provide a small discount on your coffee if you bring your own cup.
  • Recycling – Bond University has bins marked for recycling for you to use as appropriate.
  • Paper – We encourage you also to use the app, instead of printing out the program.

Conference Dinner

Everyone loves a good frock up, but leave your tux and ball gowns at home this time. Since the dinner is on campus, very few will have time to head back to their accommodation to change. Whatever you wear to the conference is fine!
