ANZREG2020: Free virtual conference on 2nd June 2020
UPDATE: We’ve pushed our virtual conference back to October 2020! We know everyone is busy with ‘business as usual’ for now. Stay safe everyone, until we see you again.
The ANZREG Committee have seriously considered the viability of the face-to-face 2020 ANZREG conference in Sydney, in light of the dynamically evolving situation with COVID-19.
There are domestic and international travel bans across a large number of Australian and New Zealand sites, and travel insurance restrictions will also have an impact.
Like many around our region and internationally, the Committee has been monitoring developments and strongly believes it is time to make the decision to refocus to a free virtual conference.
This has not been a decision made lightly, however we feel that it is prudent to ensure we do not commit money and resources on a face to face event that so many of our members will likely not be able to attend in person.
The Committee is therefore now shifting to organising a free virtual, one day event via Zoom on Tuesday June 2.
We will continue with the current open call for presentation proposals, and are working on engaging an exciting Keynote Speaker.
We are also working with Ex Libris to ensure senior staff are available for the event.
We will miss seeing you all in person at the University of Sydney this year.
