Congratulations Hackathon Winners
The inaugural ANZREG Alma Cloud App Hackathon wrapped up last night with 4 teams presenting their wonderful creations. The hackathon brought together participants often with little knowledge of the Alma Cloud App framework from different institutions to collaborate and create apps for the entire community of Alma libraries. It’s impressive what they were able to create in just a week, and all done through web meetings and chat.
Best App prize goes to Team 3 – Let’s Talk about Sets for their app “Delete Your Sets“
Team members: Andrew Press (Charles Sturt University); Xiaobo Ni (University of New South Wales); Patricia Farnan (Notre Dame University); Jessie Donaghey (Bond University) and George Heydon (University of Technology Sydney)
Team 2 – Slippery Slips won over the audience at the wrap webinar to take out the People’s Choice prize with their app “Print Slip Report”.
Team members: Cattleya Tantri (University of Technology Sydney); Lani Valentine (University of the Sunshine Coast); Jim Nicholls (University of Sydney) and Amy Leong (Bond University)
The other two apps developed are Citation Checker (soon to be released) by Team 1 The Validators, and Trove Search by Team 4 – Treasure Troves
Thank you to all participants, and to Ex Libris for sponsoring prizes, helping teams with technical support and organising.
