ANZREG Webinar: Primo NDE UI in practice

February 27, 2026

Are you starting to plan the move to PrimoNDE? Want to hear from our brave colleagues who are blazing the trail for the rest of us?

Join us for the first ANZREG hosted webinar of 2026 on Thursday 12 March at 1pm AEST.

New Discovery Experience (NDE) User Interface in Practice: Customisations, Cultural Safety, Guiding Principles and Go-Live Decisions

This ANZREG webinar brings together three institutional perspectives on implementing—or choosing not to implement—the New Discovery Experience.

  • Lincoln University will demonstrate specific lightweight enhancements, including the “Show facet/filter panel by default” CSS modification. They will share their experience integrating external data sources into Primo and discuss why they continue to prioritise a mostly out‑of‑the‑box configuration for sustainability and ease of maintenance.
  • Bond University will present on adapting its cultural safety customisations for the NDE environment. They will also discuss key guiding principles for approaching NDE transition, along with workarounds developed to address current limitations or showstoppers.
  • RMIT University will offer a valuable alternative perspective by outlining why it has not yet gone live with NDE. This includes the factors considered, the blockers encountered, and the institutional reasoning behind postponing adoption.

Together, these perspectives provide a realistic and actionable picture of what NDE looks like across the ANZ region.

Participants will leave with:

  • Working examples of lightweight, user‑focused NDE enhancements
  • Insights into adapting customisations
  • Principles for assessing configuration decisions
  • Practical workarounds for known NDE limitations
  • A better understanding of when not going live might be the strategic choice

This session will also be recorded and uploaded to the ANZREG YouTube channel.
