Welcome to ANZREG for 2026

February 3, 2026

Happy New Year (can you still say that in February?). I hope everyone has had a lovely summer so far and got at least some break from work.

I come bearing news, questions and updates from the ANZREG Committee to start 2026.

Firstly, in case you missed it, we welcomed three new members to the committee in November:
Maureen Bezanson (Southern Cross University)
Jo Simons (University of Auckland)
Ying Xian (Monash University)

Secondly, we have started thinking about our webinar program for the year, and have some ideas, but we’d love to hear from you about what you want to hear from your fellow ANZ Ex Libris users. Do you have a burning topic you want to present on that just can’t wait? Let us know!

And thirdly, we are looking to host a webinar to discuss our “Proquest Ebooks Evolution” action plans. With the transition deadline fast approaching, we want to hear from a variety of institutions about their plans. Where are you planning on buying your print books from? Did you take up the ebook subscription? Are you worried and want to vent about how this will change your processes? If you’re interested in participating in a session like this, please send an email to anzreg.committee@gmail.com by COB Tuesday 10 February. At this early stage, we’re unsure whether there will be formal presentations or more of an open discussion forum so let us know your ideas too.

Thanks everyone, we are looking forward to an exciting year of knowledge sharing ahead.
